This opportunity will support training doctors to meet the needs of the Canterbury patient population whilst developing expertise in a complex clinical environment. Where you'll be working Canterbury hospital is a 215-bed metropolitan acute general hospital in the Sydney Local Health District providing services in Emergency Medicine, General Surgery, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Palliative Care. The facility is also undergoing a $350M redevelopment for expansion of acute clinical services planned in 2027. The Canterbury area is home to a culturally and linguistically diverse community catering to patients with complex health problems and limited access to health care. Canterbury Hospital therefore offers a unique opportunity for doctors in training to develop hands-on clinical experience whilst learning in a supervised environment. What you'll be doing As Fellow of the Canterbury Hospital Emergency Department (ED), you will provide clinical services to patients within the ED at a senior level, including the supervision of junior staff in addition to administrative and teaching responsibilities and an opportunity to initiate and participate in research.
