The St George Hospital Clinical Trial Unit oversees and runs multiple pharmaceutical sponsored trials and collaborative group studies. Medical fellows interested in broadening their clinical trial experience are encouraged to apply. The position provides experience in understanding the principles and steps involved in running clinical trials. The OpportunityWorking two days per week (0.42 FTE), as the Provisional Fellow (Clinical Trials – Medical Oncology), you will play a central role in the delivery of cutting-edge clinical research while continuing to develop your clinical expertise. The purpose of this role is to provide effective clinical management of patients, under appropriate supervision, including patient assessment, making treatment decisions, performing procedures and maintaining adequate medical records; and to develop expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. This includes supervised general medical management of patients admitted to specialist departments. Working under specialist supervision, you will: Provide clinical management of patients Undertake patient assessments, treatment planning, and follow-up care Support recruitment, consent, and protocol adherence across multiple studies Contribute to trial delivery within a high-performing multidisciplinary team Gain hands-on experience in complex and innovative oncology research This is an outstanding opportunity to build clinical and research capability in a supportive engaged environment.
