Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: As per State Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29038 Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital What you'll be doing The RPA Hospital Adult Congenital heart Disease (ACHD) Fellowship program has been designed to further increase the skills and knowledge of candidates in clinical, procedural and research aspects of ACHD management. The purpose of this position is to provide expert care and clinical advice to patients, carers and other health care professionals in the speciality area of ACHD. This position will be responsible for the management of a ACHD workload, attendance at multiple clinics in hospital and outreach, management of ward patients, and liaising with consultant surgeons and the wider multidisciplinary team. This position will also be involved in unit teaching and supervision of junior medical officers. The role is expected to participate in clinical audit and quality reviews within the Cardiology department and comply with all aspects of clinical governance. This position will require a degree of flexibility and ability to manage competing demands on time. Staff are supported to ensure patients, their families and carers are considered as partners in care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and best possible healthcare experience. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * Minimum 2 years experience of Advanced Training in Cardiology through the RACP, or equivalent comparable specialty cardiology training overseas * Demonstrated active involvement in quality improvement, patient safety and risk management activities * Demonstrated participation in teaching and training at undergraduate level, including education of junior medical staff and allied health, multidisciplinary teams. * Demonstrated involvement in Cardiology research * Evidence of ability to work cooperatively with other staff and practitioners and in a multidisciplinary health care system * Demonstrated current clinical practice of a high standard and ability to adapt clinical practice in accordance with contemporary evidence based best practice Need more information? 1) Click here for the Position Description 2) Find out more about applying for this position For role related queries or questions contact David Celermajer on David.Celermajer@health.nsw.gov.au Applications Close: August 4th, 2026
