Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: As per State Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29602 Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital What you'll be doing To gain hands on specialist expertise in otology, endoscopic ear surgery, and skull base surgery, and use these skills to assist in running of the department and it’s associations with other departments eg neurosurgery, head and neck surgery. * As the senior member of the Junior Medical Staff, be a leader in the care of patients, and in guiding and teaching other members of the team. * To provide effective medical services to patients under supervision, while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment. Staff are supported to ensure patients, their families and carers are considered as partners in care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and best possible healthcare experience. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * Successful completion of relevant college examinations (FRACS,FRCS, FACS). * Ability to prioritise, organise, meet multiple demands and to effectively work as part of a team. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Proven track record of publications and presentations. * Interest in pursuing a subspecialty appointment in Otology / Skull Base surgery on completion of Fellowship. * Interest and ability to participate in a teaching program and ability to conduct research * Completion or very near completion of specialist ENT training.
