Employment Type: Temporary Full Time and Part Time positions are available until 1 June 2027 (with possibility of ongoing employment) Position Classification: Registered Midwife Remuneration: $41.23 - $57.88 Hours Per Week: Up to 38 Requisition ID: REQ681262 The Birth Unit at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) is seeking an experienced Midwife to join their dynamic team. We deal with complex high-risk pregnancies with fantastic opportunities for professional development. The Maternity Service at Royal North Shore Hospital is committed to professional development of staff, innovation and midwifery/nursing excellence at all levels. To provide quality woman centred, effective, evidenced based midwifery care in accordance with the ANMC National Competency Standards for the Midwife (2006) and to supervise the work of others as required. The midwife will consult and liaise with obstetric, medical and other appropriate staff as per the ACM National Midwifery Guidelines for Consultation and referral (PD2010_022) guidelines when deviations from the norm are identified. People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Midwife. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a high level of written and verbal skills with both patients and colleagues. Recent experience and competency to practise as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development. Current unrestricted NSW Drivers licence.
