About the Role Balmain Hospital is a community-based healthcare facility that has been caring for local people since 1885. It is dedicated to Aged Care, Rehabilitation and General Practice. Balmain Hospital is committed to providing the highest standards of healthcare to meet individual needs. General Practice Casualty (GPC) is a dynamic urgent care centre staffed by specialist doctors and highly skilled nursing professionals. We provide high-quality care for patients of all ages with acute, non-life-threatening conditions. As a triage-based service, we prioritise patients according to acuity to ensure timely and effective care. Our service includes GPC, Wound Clinic, Fracture Clinic and Hospital in the Home. GPC operates seven days a week, including public holidays, with services provided 8am – 10pm (closed overnight). The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
