About the Role: The Cancer Care Rotation Program is aimed at nurses who have completed a minimum one year post graduate nursing experience and who have a genuine interest in cancer care. The program has been designed to assist registered nurses with their professional development during the transition phase from generalist nurse to specialist cancer nurse. The program will be conducted over a 12 month period with rotation into 4 distinct cancer services (inpatient oncology, inpatient haematology, outpatient treatment including radiotherapy) and will comprise both theoretical and clinical components. The rotation framework aims to provide an interactive learning experience that enables the participants to take a holistic view of cancer nursing, gain specialised clinical skills, gain a better understanding of the services provided to patients undergoing cancer treatment and develop a network of professional resources.
