About this role

The role of a Resident Medical Officer / Senior Resident Medical Officer is to provide patient care under the direction and direct supervision of the treating specialist clinician responsible for the patient's care. These services are provided across NT Health, including rural hospitals in Katherine and Nhulunbuy. The primary responsibilities of a Resident Medical Officer / Senior Resident Medical Officer is to provide the initial assessment of the patient upon admission, daily progress assessment of the patient, and to ensure communication with the senior medical staff and other members of the team. Providing care to the patient, co-ordinate and facilitate diagnosis, management and discharge planning for the patient. Several vacancies are available, working in Alice Springs, Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Nhulunbuy subject to negotiations with the successful applicant. Selection will be made at the RMO / SRMO level depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant.
