LET’S EXPLORE THE JOB Join our passionate Road Design team and play a hands-on role in designing and delivering high-quality civil infrastructure that makes a real difference in our community. In this role you will contribute to a variety of road and drainage projects, from early planning and analysis through to detailed design and construction. You will use your technical expertise and creative thinking to produce design solutions that are practical, sustainable, and community focused. Your key focus areas will span the design and estimation of civil infrastructure including roads, traffic facilities, stormwater drainage, car parks, recreational spaces, waterways access, and shared paths. You’ll also lead project investigations, prepare concept and final designs, and manage design projects using Council’s project management framework. Collaboration is key, you will work closely with internal teams, service authorities, government departments, and the community to ensure integrated and effective design outcomes. You will bring: • Certificate and/or Diploma or associate degree in either; Civil Engineering; Civil Construction Design; or Equivalent. • Proven ability to develop practical design solutions for roads, drainage and related civil infrastructure works. • Proven ability and experience in Project Management of design projects. • Utilise experience in design and project management to mentor less experienced designers • Detailed working knowledge of Computer Aided design using AutoCAD and 12D or similar. • Suitable post qualification experience in investigation design and estimating of roads and drainage works.
