About the Company Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure a Senior Audio-Visual Service officer who will support the team in maintaining and enhancing the audio-visual technology used throughout organisation. About the Role As the Senior Audio-Visual Service Officer, you’ll be responsible for the delivery, support, and ongoing maintenance of critical audio-visual technology across the organisation. You will provide technical leadership in the installation, configuration, monitoring, and support of integrated AV systems, including audio systems, video conferencing platforms, digital signal processors (DSPs), control systems, display technologies, recording solutions, and telephony services. Working closely with internal officers, staff, technology teams, and external service providers, you’ll ensure critical technology remains reliable, secure, and operational to support the effective delivery of services. You will also act as a senior technical escalation point for complex incidents, lead proactive maintenance and troubleshooting activities, maintain accurate service and asset records in accordance with ITIL best practices, and contribute to technology upgrades, service enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives. In addition, you’ll provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members while fostering strong stakeholder relationships to deliver high-quality, customer-focused technology services. About You To be successful in this role, you’ll be a highly experienced Senior Audio-Visual Service Officer with expertise in supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise audio-visual technologies within critical operational environments. You’ll be skilled in the installation, configuration, and support of critical AV systems, including audio systems, video conferencing platforms, digital signal processors (DSPs), control systems, integrated telephony, and display technologies. You will demonstrate strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, provide expert support for complex incidents while ensuring the reliability and availability of mission-critical technology. You’ll be experienced in leading day-to-day technical activities, mentoring team members, collaborating with multiple stakeholders, and external vendors, and contributing to technology upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives. You will be a well-versed in ITIL-aligned service management practices, asset management, and operational reporting, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality technology services that support the effective delivery of services. The Benefits You will be offered a 6-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent hourly rate, paid weekly in arrears.
