About this role

We are currently seeking applications for a Senior Business Analyst role to join Revenue, Economics & Policy at The Department of Treasury & Finance for up to 12 months.

Remuneration: ASO7 – Salary Range ($116,089 - $125,490p.a.).

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Program Director, Office for Data Analytics, the Senior Business Analyst will support the exploration and delivery of a whole-of-government program focused on strengthening data and digital capabilities to improve outcomes in the Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence (DFSV) system.

The role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver complex reform at scale, bringing together data, technology and policy to support better decision-making and service delivery across government. You will work at the intersection of strategy and delivery, leading a program across its lifecycle, from early design and feasibility through to implementation planning and readiness.

About you

We are looking for an experienced business analyst who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments and is motivated by work that delivers meaningful social impact.

You will bring:

• Proven ability to elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements

• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across a range of technical and policy domain areas

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to assess options, identify risks, dependencies and constraints

• Experience analysing business processes, information and data flows, data requirements and system interactions

• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to advise executives where required.
