About this role

We are seeking an experienced Organisational Change Management professional to support the Enterprise Change Team by delivering the bureau's Change Management Service Offering. This role plays a key part in supporting the bureau’s Strategy 2022-2027, providing change management support and expert guidance to executive sponsors, program and project managers, as well as other enabling roles such as business analysts and communications professionals. The successful candidate will support change leads to build and maintain strong relationships with key business areas and stakeholders to ensure that change impacts are understood, and activities address the needs of impacted stakeholders. They will also contribute to the development and implementation of effective strategies to enable the successful adoption and sustainment of new ways of working designed by project teams. The role coordinates targeted training as well as supports the delivery of coaching, using the Prosci change methodology, to bureau leaders and teams to build capability to lead and sustain effective change adoption. Additionally, the role will be responsible for maintaining aspects of the bureau's change management framework and approach, key artefacts, tools, templates, and reports. Experience working within government and familiarity with delivering projects that have a customer or community impact is highly desirable. Under the direction of the Manager, People Partners and Change, this role is required to: • Work with program and project delivery teams (which may span multiple portfolios) to contribute to the planning and execution of effective change management activities, including conducting sizing and risk and change impacts assessments. • Capture and analyse data through stakeholder engagement to develop evidence-based change management activities that address change impacts. • Support the development of end-to-end change management plans that align with the Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement (ADKAR) model to ensure impacted groups adopt and sustain new ways of working. • Conduct assessments to gauge the effectiveness of change management activities and ensure business readiness. • Provide coaching as required to support the application of effective change management practices for people leaders and project managers • Maintain key change management artefacts, tools, templates, and reports for assigned programs and projects and contribute to the change team's organisational reporting on change impacts and portfolio health. • Maintain strong relationships with key business partners, including the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), and stakeholders involved in delivering the bureau’s Strategy 2022-2027. • Assist the change lead roles to deliver Prosci training courses to targeted bureau people leaders and impacted teams • Maintain professional knowledge in change management and continue to develop expertise in relevant skills and methodologies. • Comply with all bureau work health and safety policies and procedures and take reasonable care of your own health and safety, as well as that of employees, contractors, and visitors who may be affected by your actions. • Demonstrate commitment to the Australian Public Service (APS) Values, Employment Principles, and Code of Conduct.
