Lead environmental health initiatives that protect communities across Northern NSW. About the role As the Senior Environmental Health Officer, you'll lead the Environmental Health team based in Lismore, driving programs that protect and improve public health across the North Coast. Working closely with local government, NSW Health, industry, Local Aboriginal Land Councils and other key stakeholders, you'll provide expert advice, lead investigations, oversee compliance with environmental health legislation and respond to public health incidents. You'll supervise a skilled team, build strategic partnerships, contribute to policy and program development, support emergency response activities, and play a key role in improving environmental health outcomes for communities across the region. About you You're an experienced Environmental Health professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for protecting public health. You bring extensive knowledge of environmental health legislation, experience leading complex investigations and public health programs, and the ability to build productive partnerships across government and community sectors. You'll be a confident communicator and people leader who enjoys mentoring others, solving complex problems and driving continuous improvement. With strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach, you're ready to lead a high-performing team and make a meaningful impact across Northern NSW.
