Key responsibilities
As Senior Graphic Designer, you will specifically:
• Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
• Support the Strategic Communications team by providing dynamic and innovative expertise in graphic design, motion animation, and video content for a wide variety of channels and creative projects.
• Work independently or collaboratively as required, with minimal supervision, to manage and lead creative projects from a brief and initial concept through to final production.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision, goals, and target audience. Referencing your industry experience and knowledge, provide creative input and strategic recommendations, ensuring the final product is elevated, meeting or exceeding expectations.
• Clearly articulate your creative vision and approach to clients and stakeholders. Incorporate feedback to refine ideas and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Contribute to measuring and analysing the outcomes of creative projects, taking into consideration both creative direction as well as how the content was able to drive audience engagement.
• Set and maintain high standards for creative output by mentoring and inspiring other team members, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.
• Maintain a strong awareness of current and emerging industry trends to deliver creative solutions that focus on positive, informative, and engaging brand experiences that are exciting and resonate with our key audiences and stakeholders.
• Provide expert advice on Queensland Government corporate identity to colleagues, peers, other work units, and departments as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the branch by actively innovating and improving strategies, processes, and systems.
