Investigator - Salary $144,352 - $150,352 p.a. plus superannuation (INV1) Senior Investigator - Salary $153,404 - $161,919 p.a. plus superannuation (INV2) Contract appointment for up to 12 months About ICAC The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) is an independent statutory body established to promote integrity within South Australian public administration. ICAC investigates reports of alleged corruption within public administration and actively prevents corruption by undertaking evaluations of the practices, policies and procedures of public agencies. The Role Working within a multi-disciplinary team to conduct complex and sensitive investigations into allegations that fall within ICAC’s jurisdiction, the Investigator is required to have well developed problem solving and analytical skills and the ability to develop knowledge of relevant legislation. It is expected the Investigator will have strong written communication and interpersonal skills and experience in planning and conducting investigations or relevant tertiary qualifications to inform investigative work. A Senior Investigator will lead complex and sensitive investigations and ensure high quality investigational techniques are undertaken. This will include interviewing suspects and witnesses, taking statements and preparing briefs of evidence for prosecutions and/or investigation reports to the Commissioner. Requirements We are looking for people with experience conducting complex and sensitive investigations including experience in interviewing people to extract relevant information. Demonstrated high level communication skills and the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation will be key to success in the role. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you.
