About us The Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing (ORSR) is the lead South Australian Government agency for sport, active recreation and racing. The division focuses on supporting the sport, recreation and racing sector to create inclusive and welcoming environments that encourage lifelong participation, helping to build and sustain a proud, active, and connected community. Role Highlights • Exciting opportunity to expand and deliver a program at a statewide level • Foster innovation and inclusive practices across the sector • Flexible work environment within a supportive and collaborative culture Role Details The Senior Project Officer, Growing for Gold is responsible for coordinating the statewide implementation, delivery and evaluation of the Growing for Gold project. The role is responsible for planning, developing and delivering this project across metropolitan and regional South Australia, ensuring strong alignment with Government priorities and ORSR's strategic outcomes. This includes fostering innovation and growth within the sector, promoting inclusive practices, building the capability of paid staff and volunteers, and increasing participation in sport and active recreation. The role will establish and maintain effective partnerships with state sporting organisations, state recreation organisations, industry bodies, local government and community organisations to successfully deliver program outcomes at scale. The position also provides expert advice and support across ORSR and contributes to broader strategic initiatives, ensuring the Growing for Gold program integrates with wider participation and sector development priorities. Special Conditions • The Incumbent will be required to participate in the Agency's Performance Management Program. • The Incumbent may be assigned to another position at this remuneration level or equivalent. • Some work outside of normal hours will be required. • Some interstate travel involving overnight absences will be required. • This role requires a working with children check. Essential • Tertiary qualifications in Sport and Recreation Management, Project Management, Community Engagement, or other relevant fields.
