Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: As per State Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29408 Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital What you'll be doing This position is suitable for JMOs (in general PGY 2-4) with an interest in intensive care medicine who are looking to gain valuable experience. Some may be preparing to sit the primary exam recognized by the College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM). Staff are supported to ensure patients, their families and carers are considered as partners in care to achieve optimal patient outcomes and best possible healthcare experience. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment. * Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. * Evidence of continued professional development and self-education. * Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills. * Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. * Demonstrated career goal to undertake further training in intensive care medicine and demonstrated aptitude for intensive care medicine in terms of cognitive and technical skills among others. * Minimum 2 years full time post-graduate hospital experience including critical care experience. PGY3 or above by the time the ICU SRMO position starts. * Demonstrated commitment to work in shift work (12.5 hours shift) as day shifts and Night shifts as per the Roster requirements.
