Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: - As per award ( 94,521.00 - 127,827.00) Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29799 Position Tagline https://youtu.be/55EA9xcYJJA Where you'll be working Blacktown & Mount Druitt Hospital What you'll be doing The Senior Resident Medical Officer is responsible for the delivery of medical care as a junior member of a multi-disciplinary team, consistent with their level of skill and experience. This position is a rotational position across multiple specialties, comprising of 4 terms. The position is ideally suited for either doctors considering a career in General Practice, or looking toward a BPT pathway in future years. The rotations that may be available include: * Emergency Medicine * General/Geriatric Medicine * Obstetrics and Gynaecology * Relief * Respiratory Medicine Terms will be assigned based on individual preference and clinical need within the hospital. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia. * Must have completed 2 years post-graduate training including a minimum of 12 months experience in an Australian public hospital (not as an observer). * Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment. * Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. * A professional attitude and preparedness to participate in after-hours overtime and on-call rosters. * Ability to recognise the acutely unwell patient, to initiate immediate management, appropriately escalate care and institute Basic Life Support. * Completion of ALS and/or commitment to complete these within 3 months of appointment.
