Where You'll Be Working Liverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area. It also provides a range of state-wide services in areas such as critical care and trauma, neonatal intensive care and brain injury rehabilitation. The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care. Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment. The $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney. Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the University of NSW and the Western Sydney University and also welcome students from over 20 universities and colleges. Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries. What you'll be doing The primary purpose of the Senior Resident Medical Officer (SRMO) in Interventional Radiology is to provide clinical care, under appropriate supervision, to patients requiring Neuro-interventional medical services and Body Interventional Radiology medical services in a complex clinical environment. This position will provide experience in care of interventional radiology patients and interventional radiology techniques and have responsibilities and opportunities for autonomous practice commensurate with the level of experience of the incumbent. Visit the Workplace Giving Program for more information. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * A minimum of 2 years satisfactory full-time post-graduate experience, including recent demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in an Australian Health System or equivalent. * Demonstrated interest or research in Neurointerventional and/or Body Interventional Radiology. * Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members and others members of the health care team. * Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education, quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. * Demonstrated teamwork, good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
