At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training. * Ongoing Full-Time employment * Based in Parramatta, offering flexible working arrangement and a requirement to attend the office 5 days per fortnight * Salary ranges from $133,348 to $146,945 p.a. plus superannuation and annual leave loading About the role In this newly established role, the Senior Risk Partner will act as a trusted advisor, partnering with business areas and highly engaged executives to embed enterprise risk management, strengthen governance practices and foster a proactive risk culture. Your responsibilities will include: * Supporting the development, implementation and continual improvement of risk management frameworks, policies and procedures * Providing quality advice and building effective stakeholder relationships to strengthen risk management and governance capabilities * Analysing and evaluating risk data and information and delivering evidence-based insights to senior executives * Developing risk profiles and control registers to maintain quality risk management process For further information please click here to view the role description About you As the Senior Risk Partner, you will bring enterprise risk management experience within a large, complex, multidisciplinary environment and demonstrate: * Technical expertise in enterprise risk management and governance, with public sector experience highly desirable * Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills to build trusted partnerships and drive improvements in risk management * Excellent communication, negotiation and facilitation skills to balance competing expectations and support collaborative decisions-making * Impeccable analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate enterprise risk, draw insights and provide practical, evidence-based advice to support informed decisions * A collaborative approach and the ability work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders * Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department’s Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Essential requirements of the role * Current and valid Working with Children Check Clearance for paid employment. * Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Governance or a related discipline and/or equivalent workplace experience. * Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
