About this role
You’re seeking an exciting opportunity to co-create solutions and develop systems that help keep NSW moving. Here's your chance to design and deliver efficient, customer-focused services that also enhance accessibility, sustainability and overall quality of living for more people than you've imagined. In this role, you'll: Partner closely with business stakeholders and operational leaders to understand strategic objectives, define priorities, and develop multi-year technology strategies and roadmaps that align with business needs, investment priorities, funding cycles, regulatory obligations, and operational outcomes. This is not a product management, project delivery, architecture, or solution design role. Instead, it is a strategic technology advisory and business partnering role focused on shaping demand, influencing priorities, and ensuring technology investments are aligned to business value, customer outcomes, and organisational objectives. As part of a team providing strategic technology advisory and demand management services, you will act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders, helping bridge the gap between business strategy and technology execution. You will work collaboratively to identify opportunities, translate business needs into clear requirements, support investment planning and governance processes, and shape technology initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will contribute to the development of technology roadmaps, business cases, portfolio plans, and investment proposals, while supporting benefits realisation and continuous improvement. Working closely with architects, delivery teams, and governance forums, you will ensure proposed initiatives are viable, strategically aligned, and capable of delivering intended outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to navigate complex environments, facilitate informed decision-making, and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. You will lead conversations that clarify priorities, resolve competing demands, and foster strong partnerships between business and technology teams to achieve organisational goals. About you You are an accomplished technology advisor with a strong understanding of enterprise technology landscapes, including applications, cloud platforms, integration, and delivery ecosystems. While grounded in technology, your strength lies in partnering with business leaders to understand strategic priorities, shape demand, and guide technology decisions that deliver meaningful business outcomes. Drawing on experience across technology advisory, consulting, business analysis, portfolio management, or enterprise delivery environments, you possess exceptional stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, and analytical capabilities. You thrive in complex environments, bringing clarity to ambiguous problems, balancing competing priorities, and influencing diverse stakeholders to achieve consensus and informed decision-making. As a trusted advisor, you are skilled at translating business needs into strategic technology opportunities, developing roadmaps, shaping investment decisions, and supporting governance and prioritisation processes. Your ability to work seamlessly across business and technology teams ensures initiatives remain aligned to organisational objectives, deliver measurable value, and support long-term business success.
