The role supports the translation of service priorities, strategic directions, Ministry of Health (MoH) requirements, program outcomes and performance information into communication and engagement approaches that strengthen the visibility, credibility and influence of Population Health Promotion. Working in partnership with the Director, Operations Manager and Program Managers, the position leads service-wide communication and reporting activities, develops communication and reporting frameworks, and provides expert advice on how information is communicated to maximise stakeholder understanding, engagement and influence. The role works across all Population Health Promotion program areas and requires broad knowledge of population health and prevention practice rather than specialist expertise in any individual program stream. The role does not determine service strategy, priorities or program content, but provides specialist expertise to support the effective communication, promotion and translation of those priorities, outcomes and achievements.People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: * Relevant tertiary qualifications in communications, public health, health promotion, public policy, business, management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. * Demonstrated experience leading strategic communications, reporting, planning or stakeholder engagement activities within a complex organisation. * Demonstrated ability to coordinate, synthesise and communicate information from multiple sources into high-quality reports, briefings, presentations and communication products.
