. Position InformationBurrumbuttock Public School is a dynamic small rural school located 35 km north-west of Albury and is situated on Wiradjuri Land. Students live in the village or surrounding farming areas fostering a strong sense of community and connection. The school is well respected and valued, with the Parents and Citizens Association playing an active role in supporting the school community. Two multi-grade and multi-age classes exist for the current enrolment of 35 students with the principal having a 0.6 teaching load. Quality teachers, support personnel and administrative staff work collaboratively with parents and community to provide a caring and supportive learning environment that encourages and enriches student success in all areas. The dedicated staff encourage excellence with high expectations for students to achieve their personal best. The school provides academic, social, emotional and physical learning opportunities to ensure a wholistic approach to quality education. Unique features to the school include the onsite Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden facilities, and the adjacent Wirraminna Environmental Education Centre. Both features utilise local community expertise to support innovative learning programs. As a proud member of the Walbundrie Small Schools Network and the Hume Network, the school has strong links with other local public schools, and partner high school ensuring enriched and diverse educational programs and strong transition opportunities. Selection CriteriaIn addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary. 1. Demonstrated ability to lead department priorities aligned to NSW Plan for Public Education with a strong focus on explicit teaching, student voice and use of school data that informs effective differentiation to meet the needs of the diversity of learners. 2. Evidence of being a highly visible, approachable leader to build authentic connections and collaboration with staff, parents, community and external agencies to strengthen a culture of productive educational partnerships to enhance student learning, wellbeing, attendance and engagement for all students. 3. Demonstrated capacity to lead the strategic development, implementation and evaluation of a high-impact School Excellence Plan, aligned with the School Excellence Framework and NSW Plan for Public Education, while creating and sustaining a positive, inclusive and high-expectation school culture. General Selection Criteria1. High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education 2. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs 3. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community 4. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning 5. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning 6. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policies and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people ConditionsAn unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
