About this role
The central objective of this role to is to bring extensive operational experience and leadership into operational planning to support the real time control room in maintaining power system security and reliability under all operating conditions, while meeting internal and external stakeholder requirements and expectations. The role seeks to provide technical and operational advice to inform and influence ongoing development and reform activities to relevant government agencies, other Power and Water business units, consultants and proponents. The role is responsible for engineering duties for the approval of near-term planning assessments, approval of operational risk planning and assessments, and operational plans and reports in line with the System Control objectives for the secure, reliable, safe and cost-effective operation of Northern Territory regulated power systems.
