In this role, you'll: Lead and support a team responsible for delivering complex and large-scale road and bridge projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with agreed project plans and specifications. Working with a high degree of autonomy, you will coordinate day-to-day operations, facilitate team development, and provide leadership to achieve quality project outcomes. Key responsibilities include: • Supervising and coordinating team activities across road construction, maintenance, snow clearing and infrastructure projects. • Leading the construction of new road pavements and the enhancement of existing road networks. • Overseeing the installation, maintenance and replacement of roadside safety fixtures, signage and related infrastructure. • Managing the maintenance and repair of drains and drainage structures to support road network performance. • Coordinating the application of road marking materials and bituminous sealing treatments to meet operational and safety standards. • Monitoring project delivery, resources and work programs to ensure completion within scope, budget and timeframes. • Supervising minor contracts associated with team activities and ensuring contractor performance meets required standards. • Fostering a positive team culture through leadership, coaching and continuous improvement initiatives. This role operates under limited supervision and requires strong leadership, planning and stakeholder management skills to successfully deliver road infrastructure and maintenance outcomes. About you You have demonstrated experience in road maintenance and construction along with knowledge and experience coordinating and supervising multi-disciplinary site teams. You have experience delivering project requirements safely and efficiently and have experience certifying the work of team members and contractors to achieve work outcomes. You possess good communication and interpersonal skills and are able to communicate effectively with both colleagues and members of public. You will have the capability to follow appropriate safe working procedures and rectify simple hazards. You hold a current Construction Industry White Card and a current unrestricted NSW Motor Vehicle driver’s licence. You are flexible and adaptable, with the willingness to travel and work away from home during snow-clearing operations and construction activities when required to support program delivery and operational needs of the depot. We take the WH&S and the management of fatigue of our employees seriously. Therefore, to be successful in this role it is a requirement that you must reside within 90 minutes travel distance from Cooma depot.
