Permanent | 76hrs per fortnight (Full time) | Nine Day Fortnight (RDO) Commuting Use of a City Vehicle | Premium Recquatic Membership | 13% Superannuation This position is classified as PACS Band 6 ($44.56 – $47.78 per hour) under the City of Kwinana’s structured remuneration system. What’s On Offer An exciting opportunity exists to step into a hands on leadership role, where you will guide a dedicated team of horticulturalists in the establishment, maintenance and management of parks, reserves and open spaces across the community. Working within the City Parks and Garden team, you will play a key role in enhancing the presentation and quality of public spaces, while fostering a collaborative, supportive and high performing team environment. The position offers both variety and responsibility, combining leadership with practical outdoor work. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful and visible impact within the community. Who Are We? What You'll Need To be successful in this role you will need: • Tertiary qualification in Horticulture or equivalent • Comprehensive knowledge and considerable practical experience in Parks, Gardens and Turf maintenance including landscape development • Experience in safe operation and user maintenance of mechanical plant and equipment • Sound knowledge and understanding of Workplace Safety and Health requirements • Demonstrated ability to lead, give direction, provide guidance and interact with team members • Well developed interpersonal, communication and literacy skills • Well developed negotiating and problem solving skills • Possession of Medium Rigid (MR) motor vehicle licence, Basic Worksite Traffic Management, Safety Awareness Training – White Card and Provide First Aid Please note the hours of work for this position are 7:00am - 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 7:00am - 3:45pm Friday.
