Discover Your Next Opportunity as a Technology Officer An exciting opportunity awaits a motivated and proactive Technology Officer to join a dedicated support team within a prominent government department. Key Responsibilities: • Procure level 1 and level 2 support through help desk and desktop assistance to the internal user base • Monitor and efficiently manage incoming help desk requests • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing effective resolution • Collaborate with advanced support teams to escalate incidents or gather technical information • Maintain and update technical documentation including knowledge bases and asset registers • Progress IT requests such as hardware imaging and software deployments • Assist with departmental IT initiatives by managing relevant support tickets • Participate in team meetings to share insights and improve support processes Essential Skills and Qualifications: • Minimum of six months experience in a similar support role or relevant training • Deep understanding of Windows operating systems • Experience supporting enterprise level IT environments • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications • Knowledge of supporting desktop devices including PCs, laptops, and smartphones • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for hardware and software faults • Excellent customer service and communication skills • Understanding of ITIL principles related to incident, change, and problem management • Experience managing Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments • Experience working with IT service management platforms such as ServiceNow Nice to Have Skills: • Experience with Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager • Knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure solutions • Familiarity with SharePoint platforms • Experience with Mobile Device Management tools • Scripting or automation skills, such as PowerShell Preferred Education and Experience: • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent training • Proven experience supporting enterprise level IT environments Other Requirements: • Willingness to adapt to departmental policies and procedures • A proactive approach to learning and professional development • Relevant IT certifications will be highly regarded If you are ready to leverage your technical expertise in a meaningful role within a dynamic team, we invite you to apply now.
