WHY WE NEED YOU The Western Australia Police Force (WA Police Force) often have short term vacancies while our employees take periods of leave, are deployed elsewhere in the department or are seconded to other agencies within the public sector. In addition to this, we also regularly need people to work on projects with funding for a finite period or to meet the short term needs of a branch when workload is high. Depending on the business needs for the branch, we often require full-time and part-time staff for periods of up to twelve (12) months. Whilst these opportunities are short-term, they often provide a pathway to long-term and permanent opportunities throughout the agency and wider public sector. ABOUT THE WA POLICE FORCE SHORT-TERM OPPORTUNITIES The WA Police Force is responsible for policing the world's largest single police jurisdiction, covering Western Australia's 2.5 million square kilometres with over 10,000 employees located across 150 police facilities within 8 metropolitan and 7 regional districts. The WA Police Force is seeking to establish a group of suitable applicants for occasional short term contract opportunities available across a range of positions. These roles include (but are not limited to): • Administration • Customer Service (Police Front Counter) • Project Support • Payroll/HR • Finance Opportunities are located within the Perth CBD and the wider Metropolitan Area. ELIGIBILITY To be eligible for appointment, you must be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident or hold a visa that entitles you to live and work in Australia for the term of any employment contract.
