Trainee Operator - Water Operations - Manilla/Barraba Location: Manilla/Barraba, NSW THE OPPORTUNITY • Maintain and support water and sewer network systems, including responding to main breaks, carrying out repairs and monitoring performance • Assist in the operation and upkeep of wastewater treatment plants and sewer pump stations to ensure efficient processing • Monitor and run water treatment processes and pump station operations to help deliver safe drinking water COULD THIS BE YOU? You will be reliable, motivated, and able to work effectively within a team, while also demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills. The Trainee Operator – Water Operations is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance and monitoring of Council’s water and wastewater infrastructure while completing a traineeship qualification during a fixed-term two-year employment contract. TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED • P1, P2 or C Class Drivers Licence for a Manual vehicle • School Certificate or Record of School Achievement, including online numeracy and literacy test, (HSC highly regarded) reflecting ability in Mathematics, Science, Design & Technology and/or Industrial Technology • Immunisation (or willingness to undergo) to Hepatitis, Tetanus and Q Fever.
