What you'll be doing Assess and manage, under supervision, patients presenting to the Emergency Department and admitted to inpatient wards when rotating to inpatient specialties. The position supports meeting the requirements for Trainee stage 1 training with the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia. * Selected into Fellowship training or has applied for Fellowship training by the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine (ACEM) (NB: Must provide evidence of either selection or application into Fellowship training). * Demonstrated ability to work independently in a supervised environment. * Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team with an understanding of the roles of the doctor and other members of the healthcare team. * Demonstrated good organizational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment. * Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management. * Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self-education. * Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, family members and others members of the health care team.
