The Plastic Surgery Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for assessment and management of patients with a problem requiring specialised plastic surgery treatment. This will be under the supervision of the Consultant responsible for the care of such patients. The trainee will be responsible for the communication of assessment and management decisions to other staff involved in the patient’s care; communication with the patient / family regarding the patient’s condition and management plans; maintenance of accurate and relevant patient documentation; coordination of diagnostic tests and consultations; performing of any necessary operative procedures required for the care and treatment of such patients and arrangement of patient admission and discharge procedures. The Plastic Surgery Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for assessment and management of patients with a problem requiring specialised plastic surgery treatment.
