Employment Type: Temporary Various Remuneration: As per State Award Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29689 Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital What you'll be doing The Plastic Surgery Unaccredited Trainee is responsible for assessment and management of patients with a problem requiring specialised plastic surgery treatment. This will be under the supervision of the Consultant responsible for the care of such patients. The trainee will be responsible for the communication of assessment and management decisions to other staff involved in the patient’s care; communication with the patient / family regarding the patient’s condition and management plans; maintenance of accurate and relevant patient documentation; coordination of diagnostic tests and consultations; performing of any necessary operative procedures required for the care and treatment of such patients and arrangement of patient admission and discharge procedures. The Trainee will attend as required, Outpatient Clinics of the Department and participate in the roster of on-call, operative assisting in private hospitals (where applicable) where consultants of the unit work * Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role * Previous surgical experience * Demonstrated progress towards career goals in plastic surgery and clinical competence * Demonstrated clinical competency; demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills and judgement and expertise * Demonstrated capacity to work within a multi-disciplinary team * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Demonstrated interest in teaching and research Need more information? 1) Click here for the Position Description 2) Find out more about applying for this position For role related queries or questions contact Daniel Gialouris on Daniel.Gialouris@health.nsw.gov.au Applications Close: 04, August 2026
