Employment Type: Temporary Full Time Remuneration: - Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29468 Where you'll be working Sydney West and Greater Southern (SWaGS) Psychiatry Training Network What you'll be doing To provide effective Mental Health services to the patients while working under supervision, in order to develop expertise in psychiatric practice, in a complex clinical environment. Trainee-Unaccredited Position will provide general psychiatric care to patients under the supervision of a consultant psychiatrist. Training opportunities are provided in adult psychiatry and all psychiatric subspecialties and specialized secondary and tertiary referral services including Child and Adolescent (C&A) psychiatry, Perinatal psychiatry, Mood Disorders, Early Intervention and Youth Mental Health, Psychogeriatric & Consultation-Liaison psychiatry. The training network provides training in accordance with training requirements of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) to support progression toward becoming a Trainee with the RANZCP. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category * A minimum of three months experience in psychiatry OR demonstrated achievement of significant skills in another clinical specialty or primary care medicine that is transferrable to the psychiatric care of patients . * Demonstrated experience in taking a comprehensive patient history, performing clinical examinations and accurately documenting treatment in the patients record. * Able to make sound decisions in accordance with level of experience and awareness of limitations and the ability to learn independently from experience and improve clinical practice. * Proven ability to treat colleagues and patients with respect in a culturally diverse environment. * Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team to ensure the appropriate management of the patient. * NSW unrestricted drivers license or eligible overseas/international driving license.
