Employment Type: Temporary Full Time Remuneration: - Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: CAM29323 Position Tagline We are seeking applications from enthusiastic and committed candidates for the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unaccredited Trainee positions at The Sutherland Hospital for the 2027 clinical year. Where you'll be working The Sutherland Hospital is a 375 bed Major Metropolitan Teaching Hospital affiliated with the University of NSW, located in the Sutherland Shire 25 kilometres from the Sydney CBD. A 44 bed Emergency Department which includes 3 resuscitation bays, dedicated Adult and Paediatric Fast Track areas, an 8 bed ED Short Stay Unit, a collocated Radiology Department with CT scanner. The addition of 60 new acute inpatient beds, including 6 additional ICU beds and a 16 bed General Medical Unit. There are 24hr diagnostic services and excellent support from Mental Health, ICU and community/aged care services and nursing staff. Sutherland Hospital provides a 24/7 Interventional Cardiology service. Inpatient services include most subspecialties; General Surgery, Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Vascular Surgery, Cardiology, Respiratory, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Oncology, Renal, Paediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Aged Care, Rehabilitation and Mental Health. What you'll be doing Delivering effective medical care, predominantly in the area of obstetrics, with some gynaecology, under the supervision of specialist staff. Clinical care will be delivered in consultation with the multidisciplinary team within the South East Sydney Local Health District. * MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category. * At least three years' post graduate experience in public hospital service (or equivalent) Including one year experience in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. * Able to manage the Delivery Suite with off-site supervision. * Willingness to participate in the after hours and weekend roster. * High level clinical skills. * Good communication skills. * Previous local experience in obstetrics and gynaecology.
