In this role, you'll: * Lead complex, end‐to‐end UX/UI design across Transport’s digital ecosystem, shaping cohesive customer journeys across web and mobile platforms * Drive human‐centred design from discovery through to delivery, including research, journey mapping, information architecture and prototyping * Create high‐fidelity design artefacts such as wireframes, interaction designs, user flows and interactive prototypes to support efficient development * Partner closely with product managers, business analysts and engineers to align on customer outcomes, acceptance criteria and business goals * Review developer demos and completed work, providing UX, UI and accessibility feedback aligned to design system standards * Plan, conduct and interpret user testing, applying insights to validate and refine design direction * Proactively identify and escalate design risks, ambiguities and architectural impacts to key stakeholders * Contribute to the evolution and governance of Transport’s Design System, ensuring consistency and scalability across channels * Champion best‐practice human‐centred design, accessibility and inclusive design standards across projects * Mentor and support UX/UI designers, uplifting capability and design quality across the team For more information on this position and business unit, view the role description and information pack About you: * Significant experience leading end‐to‐end UX/UI design for complex, multi‐platform digital products * Strong capability across research, interaction design, visual design and design system governance * Proven experience conducting usability testing and synthesising insights to inform design decisions * Advanced proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Figma and FigJam * In‐depth knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.x) and responsive, component‐based design * Experience working in agile delivery environments and collaborating with Product, Engineering and Content roles * Strong understanding of web and mobile platform guidelines (iOS, Android, web) * Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence outcomes in complex environments * Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent practical experience * Demonstrated experience in senior or lead UX/UI design roles delivering customer‐centred digital solutions * Eligibility to work in Australia Who we are Transport for NSW provides a safe, integrated, and efficient transport system.
