• Permanent / Full Time • Salary: $85,830 - $99,916 gross p.a. plus 12% Super • 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime • Located at Nowra Administration Building, Bridge Road • Applications close: Wednesday, 12 August 2026 (at midnight) About the Role Lead and support a dedicated Accounts Receivable team to deliver outstanding customer and financial outcomes. This role focuses on effective debt management, continuous improvement of billing processes and systems, staff development, and collaboration across Council, while providing leadership support within the Revenue Team and broader Finance Team. This includes: • Lead the AR Team in providing an end-to-end professional, accurate and timely AR service for a large number of debtors accounts, in compliance with legislation, policy and procedure, for both internal and external customers. • Ensure the Accounts Receivable sub ledger is maintained accurately, kept up to date, and is reconciled regularly, e.g. month end and end of year. • Lead on collections efforts, and debt recovery matters, developing approaches for timely collection of overdue accounts, and/or appropriate referral to external mercantile agent/s. The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position. About You To be successful in the position, you will have: • Certificate IV Business/Administration or Diploma of Accounting or demonstrated equivalent experience. • Previous experience in Accounts Receivable in a large organisation. • Current Class C Driver's Licence • Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa) We are looking for a motivated and collaborative leader with strong Accounts Receivable and collections experience, excellent communication skills, and a focus on customer service. The successful candidate will be organised, solutions-focused, and capable of leading and developing a small team while building positive working relationships across Council.
