The opportunity Become an essential part of the machinery that keeps ASIO running. We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented cleaning professionals to maintain our facilities to the highest standards. We are looking for individuals who take pride in their craft to ensure our floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas remain pristine. These positions are full-time with evening shift positions also available in Canberra. A merit pool may be created to fill future vacancies which have the same or similar requirements to this position. This merit pool will be valid for up to 18 months. Responsibilities As an AE2 Cleaner in ASIO, you will work individually and as part of a team to perform a range of duties including: • Sweeping floors • Vacuuming hard and soft surfaces • Carpet steam cleaning and extraction • Mopping hard surfaces • Buffing and scrubbing floors • Cleaning and polishing office furniture • Cleaning wet areas • Glass cleaning • Low- and high-level dusting • High pressure cleaning • Emptying waste and recyclable rubbish from kitchen areas • Stain removal • Maintaining stocks in service areas (soap, towels, toilet paper etc)
