About this role

The Property Operations team delivers a broad range of property and facilities management services to support the department's national property portfolio. APS 5 Property Officers contribute to the delivery of operational and strategic property outcomes through the management of property activities, projects, service delivery initiatives and stakeholder relationships. Reporting to a senior team member, the roles will support the delivery of facilities management, capital works project delivery, leasing and accommodation, governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement, contract administration and/or workplace service initiatives. The positions work closely with the department's Property Services Provider (PSP), contractors and other service providers to support the delivery of property and facilities management services across the department's national property portfolio. The roles will work with a degree of independence and are responsible for analysing information, resolving issues, developing recommendations, contributing to governance and assurance activities, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business outcomes. This recruitment process is being conducted to fill current vacancies within the Property Operations team and establish a merit pool for future vacancies over the next 18 months. Opportunities may arise across a range of property functions, including facilities management, capital works project delivery, leasing and accommodation management, governance and reporting. Responsibilities of APS 5 Property Officers may include: • Coordinating property, facilities management, leasing or accommodation activities across the department's portfolio. • Supporting the planning and delivery of capital works, workplace and service improvement projects. • Managing elements of contract administration and supporting service provider performance management activities. • Engaging with the department's PSP, contractors, landlords and stakeholders to support service delivery outcomes. • Developing reports, briefing material, correspondence and recommendations for management consideration. • Contributing to governance, compliance, assurance and reporting activities. • Deliver effective secretariat and governance support services, including coordinating meeting processes, preparing documentation, maintaining records, tracking actions and supporting informed decision-making. • Analysing information and identifying risks, issues and opportunities to improve service delivery. • Supporting the development and implementation of property-related policies, procedures and business processes. • Building productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business outcomes. • Undertaking other duties as required.
