The National Cyber Watch Office (NCWO) is the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s 24/7 operational frontline, helping Australians when they need cyber security support most. As part of NCWO, you will work at the centre of Australia's cyber defence effort - triaging cyber incidents, supporting victims, identifying emerging threats, sharing critical intelligence with government and industry partners, and delivering critical advice to government, industry, and the public. No two days are the same. Whether responding to a major cyber incident, providing early warning of emerging threats, or helping an organisation recover from an attack, you'll play a direct role in strengthening Australia's cyber resilience. ASD 4, 5 & 6 Analyst (24/7 Shift Team) Be on the frontline of Australia's cyber security response. As a member of NCWO's 24/7 operations team, you will be among the first to respond to cyber security incidents affecting Australians, businesses, and government agencies. Working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, you will help assess incidents, identify emerging threats, and provide advice that directly contributes to Australia's cyber resilience. The rotating roster offers excellent work-life balance, including regular four-to-five day breaks, two weekends off per month, and generous shift penalties. In this role, you will: • Receive and triage cyber security incident reports. • Conduct initial technical and intelligence analysis to support broader ASD response activities. • Provide remediation and mitigation advice to affected organisations and individuals. • Prepare operational reporting and briefings for government and industry stakeholders. • Contribute to Australia's national cyber situational awareness and early warning capabilities. • Whether supporting members of the public during a cyber-incident or contributing to major national cyber responses, every day presents new challenges and opportunities to make a meaningful impact. • Important information • These positions are performed from an assigned ASD office and are unsuitable for remote working arrangements. • Initial induction training is delivered face-to-face in Canberra (Majura Park) over a two-week period, regardless of your office location. • Shift work includes days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, with generous allowances and leave provisions in return. PLEASE NOTE: ASD 4, 5 & 6 Analyst (24/7 Shift Team) does not offer part time opportunities ASD 6 Operations Coordinator (Standard hours) Help coordinate and drive Australia's cyber security operations. As an NCWO Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting operational activities, stakeholder engagement, and incident coordination across the Australian Cyber Security Centre. Working closely with EL1 Operational Managers, you will help ensure cyber security incidents and support activities are managed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will: • Coordinate responses to cyber security incidents, investigations, and cyber support activities during significant events. • Provide operational advice and support planning activities across a range of cyber security initiatives. • Engage with stakeholders across government, industry, and the broader cyber security community. • Support incident response activities and help strengthen collaboration with internal and external partners. • Contribute to the development of operational procedures, policies, and supporting documentation. • Represent NCWO in meetings, forums, and working groups to achieve positive operational outcomes.
