Join the dynamic and supportive team on Ward 8F at Royal North Shore Hospital (RNSH) as an Assistant in Nursing (AIN). Ward 8F is a specialist Oncology and Haematology ward providing care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, bone marrow transplantation (including autologous, allogeneic and matched unrelated donor (MUD) transplants), radiotherapy, blood product therapy and other complex oncology treatments. Staff are supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, including the Nurse Unit Manager, Clinical Nurse Educator and Clinical Nurse Consultant, in a collaborative and supportive learning environment. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will work alongside the nursing team to provide high-quality, patient-centred care for patients with complex oncology and haematology needs. You will support patients with activities of daily living and contribute to delivering safe, compassionate and effective care. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: • Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care). • Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
