About this role

Our lifeguards do some incredible things as part of their day-to-day role patrolling our world-famous beaches! We are now recruiting for our 2026-27 beach season! We have a variety of roles available including: Lifeguard – commencing salary $1,378.07 to $1,601.54 per week excluding superannuation, shift penalties and overtime. • 7 months (Sept-April) • 3 months Lifeguard (Dec-Feb) • 6 weeks Lifeguard (Christmas School Holidays) • Casual – from $45.33 per hour Applicants require: • Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue) or the equivalent – and the ability to pass physical fitness requirements and written examination (outlined below) • Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID011) • Advanced Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID015) • NSW General Boat Driving Licence • Drivers Licence Class C • Working with Children Check Physical testing will be held on Tuesday 4 August or Saturday 8 August 2026 upon successful application. Requirements are: Complete a 800m pool swim within 14 minutes Complete a Lifeguard Mission consisting of a continuous 800 Metre Run, 500 Metre Swim, 800 Metre Run and a 600 Metre Board Paddle whilst negotiating the surf break within 25 minutes. Complete a Board rescue or Rescue tube swim with simulated rescue and resuscitation. Written examination covering: Beach management, Marine safety, Communications, First aid and Resuscitation. Interviews will be held from Monday 10 August – Wednesday 12 August 2026 All successful applicants will be required to attend the compulsory induction seminar from Monday 21 September 2026 to Friday 25 September 2026.
