The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention and early detection through to assessment, treatment and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth) . We are seeking a motivated and analytical Business Analyst to support reporting, performance monitoring and data-driven decision-making across Primary Care and Community Health (PCCH). The role is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of reporting solutions and dashboards for the service. The role will ensure the provision of timely, accurate, and meaningful data to support strategic and operational objectives. Working closely with managers, clinicians and stakeholders, the Business Analyst will monitor and analyse service performance, maintain data integrity, provide insights to support business planning, and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. As the successful incumbent, you will foster strong relationships across the service to advance clinical informatics and support evidence-based decision-making. The successful candidate will have experience in reporting, dashboard development, data analysis and stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate complex information into actionable insights that improve service outcomes. What you will bring to the role • Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field or discipline and/or relevant experience in health data management, analysis, and reporting • Demonstrate high level of communication (written and verbal) and time management skills • Experience in project management including design, planning, consultation, delivery, monitoring, and evaluation • Experience in presenting information using data visualisation software e.g. MS Excel, Power BI • Excellent skills in leadership, motivation, self-direction, and initiative • Sound knowledge of qualitative evaluation strategies to monitor and report on quality & system improvement and demonstrated ability to author reports and present findings to inform decision making • High level of computer skills including Word, Excel, Power BI, NBMLHD databases and clinical systems. Ability to analyse data extracts and implement corrective actions in collaboration with local managers to ensure data quality • Current Drivers' Licence and willingness to travel for work purposes Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.
