Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency. Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (Aged Care) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This is an opportunity to use your clinical expertise, leadership skills, and passion for person-centred care to support patients and clients in achieving their health and wellbeing goals. About the Opportunity As a Registered Nurse, you will provide safe, evidence-based nursing care while working collaboratively with patients, families, carers, and healthcare professionals. You will play a key role in coordinating care, assessing patient needs, implementing effective nursing interventions, and supporting positive health outcomes. This position plays a key role in making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults by providing compassionate care, promoting wellbeing, and contributing to a supportive and collaborative healthcare environment. In this role you will: • Deliver safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care that supports positive outcomes for aged care patients and clients. • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised care in collaboration with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team. • Provide clinical leadership by supporting, guiding, and supervising Enrolled Nurses and Assistants in Nursing. • Contribute to quality improvement, professional development, and a culture of excellence in patient-centred care. For more information about this role, please view the Position Description About You We are looking for someone who has: • Current registration and Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). • Recent clinical experience in aged care or a relevant speciality area, with a commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement. • Strong clinical assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills to deliver person-centred care within a multidisciplinary team. • The ability to prioritise workloads, demonstrate sound clinical judgement, and coordinate care in a dynamic healthcare environment. • A compassionate, resilient, and accountable approach, with a commitment to NSW Health CORE values and delivering high-quality outcomes for patients and clients.
