About the Opportunity Join our dedicated palliative care team, working in our new palliative care unit at Wyong Hospital, as a senior physiotherapist level 3, where you'll provide expert, person-centred care that supports patients and their families through every stage of their journey. This is a rewarding opportunity to apply your advanced clinical expertise, lead service improvement initiatives, and mentor the next generation of physiotherapists while working as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team. In this role you will: • Deliver advanced, evidence-informed physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients with complex palliative care needs, providing compassionate, holistic care to patients and their families/carers. • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, community providers and other health professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey. • Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentoring to Level 1/2 Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and students, supporting professional development and clinical excellence. • Lead and contribute to quality improvement initiatives, service planning and evaluation to enhance patient outcomes and the effectiveness of physiotherapy services. • Exercise advanced clinical reasoning and independent decision-making to manage complex caseloads while maintaining best practice, professional standards and evidence-informed care. We are looking for someone who has: • Advanced clinical physiotherapy skills and experience managing complex patient presentations, ideally within palliative care or a related clinical setting. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, colleagues and multidisciplinary teams. • Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience supervising, mentoring and supporting the professional development of staff and students. • Strong clinical reasoning, problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining high-quality patient care. • A commitment to continuous learning, evidence-informed practice and quality improvement to enhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
