As our newest team member, you will play a vital role in delivering competent education to our junior staff, which will in turn allow our nurses to provide care to patients with varying levels of illness or injury, supporting them and their families through what can often be distressing circumstances. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. You won’t be working alone. The selected candidate will be supported by the Health Service Manager, the Nurse Unit Managers, and will be provided a thorough orientation program including supernumery days. Ongoing professional development opportunities are always encouraged and supported by the leadership to align with your future goals. Key responsibilities: ⭐ Deliver competent nursing education in a hospital-wide capacity. ⭐ Contribute to the development of colleagues and identify learning needs ⭐ Support less experienced staff and acts as preceptor for new staff (when delegated this function) ⭐ Support the orientation of new staff to the hospital ⭐ Provide day to day clinical education support and clinical supervision at the point of care ⭐ Provide 1:1 informal education ⭐ Implement and evaluate education programs Essential criteria: Current Registered Nurse with AHPRA plus relevant clinical or education post registration qualifications and clinical experience.
