True Colours clinic is a holistic, multidisciplinary service that provides, safe, quality, and inclusive gender-affirming care and treatment to the Trans and Gender Diverse (TGD) population aged 16 to 25 years. This position will plan, coordinate, and implement in-depth levels of clinical expertise and extensive specialised knowledge within clinical psychology in order to ensure the provision of high-quality evidence-based psychological assessment and intervention services to patients/consumers of the True Colours Clinic consistent with NSW Health, South Eastern Sydney Local Health District (SESLHD) policies, procedures and standards. This role includes opportunities for supervision, quality improvement initiatives, education delivery to other health care professionals and the teaching of students on clinical placement. Selection Criteria • Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia, with Endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress to same), along with a minimum two-year full-time equivalent Master or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. • Demonstrated experience in the provision of evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and evaluation of clinical outcomes with young people and their families +/- experience working with transgender and gender diverse people. • Capacity to design and implement short to medium term individual treatment protocols for transgender and gender diverse young people. • Demonstrated advanced communication and interpersonal skills across a variety of mediums and proven application of the practice development framework to clinical practice. • Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and to guide and support others in providing service excellence, with the capacity to provide clinical supervision to other staff. • Demonstrated experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a health setting. • Demonstrated experience in and commitment to quality improvement and research.
