About this role
The Role The Henderson Defence Precinct Communications Officer will work to the EL 1 Deputy Director, Communications. You will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex communication, media and issues management work within an integrated workforce. Key tasks will include: • Provide specialist advice to stakeholders on the design, development and implementation of a range of internal and external communication, media products and activities. • Generate key messages and talking points, material for Defence publications, media releases and updates to the internet and intranet. • Identify communication and media risks and opportunities within the business environment and take account of these in planning, decision-making and priority setting. About our Team The Henderson Defence Precinct Communications Unit consists of 3 fulltime APS employees. This position will work alongside the existing APS 6 Communications Officer in our Canberra office/s.
