About this role
The Opportunity: Our Coordinator Civil Works is responsible to lead, coordinate and direct a number of teams in the operation of Council's Civil Works functions. The role oversees a range of teams within the Civil Works, providing input into the development and monitoring of the Civil Construction and/or Maintenance program and their associated budgets. The role supports the operations of Civil Construction and Asset Programming, including supervision of inspections, pavement management and contract supervision. As leaders within the Civil Works space, our Coordinators supervise, support and coach staff in undertaking the works of the team, whilst overseeing and implementing the actions and tasks within our Operational Plan. About you: To be successful within this role, you will have a Diploma in Civil Engineering or significant contemporary experience in the supervision of civil construction and/or maintenance works coupled with extension profession specific training/education. You will have demonstrated experience working within civil construction and/or maintenance and have the demonstrated ability to leader, coach and support staff. You will hold excellent interpersonal skills including a highly developed skillset of problem solving and conflict resolution, coupled with the proven ability to analyse information and produce meaningful business focused reports to support sound decision making. Benefits: This is a full-time, permanent role working a 38-hour week, with a base salary range of $116,436 - $129,244 per year based on demonstrated competencies + allowances + 12% super.
