About this role

The Role As a leader, the Deputy Director Capability Integration Team (CIT) is ultimately accountable for the CIT Mission to support the integration and sensitive technology management required for SRSPO managed capabilities: the P-8A Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton. In this role you will ensure that Capability integration, including network integration and cyber security, achieves required capability outcomes by managing the development, implementation, and monitoring of project and program strategies, plans, and risks through the capability lifecycle. This is achieved by: • Overseeing the integration risk, issues, and opportunities management processes to ensure effective oversight, planning, decision-making, and prioritisation. • Building and maintaining stakeholder engagement, demonstrating the ability to communicate persuasively and negotiate effectively. • Influencing and motivating team members while actively leading group initiatives. • Analysing, interpreting project and program performance against established plans, proactively developing, and evaluating strategies to achieve successful outcomes. • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative, policy, and regulatory frameworks. Frequent travel - Aeroplane This role is eligible for an additional remuneration benefit known in Defence as a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP). This enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the base salary otherwise payable under the Defence Enterprise Collective Agreement (DECA), for positions in occupational disciplines/classifications that are critical to Defence capability. For further information, please contact the contact officer. About our Team Deputy Director CIT is a member of the Surveillance and Response Systems Program Office (SRSPO) Executive leadership group. It leads and manages a medium size team comprising highly skilled APS, Air Force and contractor personnel. SRSPO ensures the availability and performance of highly complex surveillance and response airborne and related systems for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) – including the P-8A Poseidon and MQ-4C Triton aircraft systems.
