At Coliban Water, we're passionate about delivering healthy water for healthy people. As part of our landmark Rural Water Efficiency Project (RWEP), we're investing in one of the largest rural water infrastructure upgrades in our region, improving water security and services for more than 1,150 rural customers. We're looking for an enthusiastic Engagement Officer to join our Communications and Engagement team and help rural customers and communities understand what the Rural Water Efficiency Project means for them. This role will suit someone who can build trust, explain project information clearly and support customers through change — even if their experience has come through customer service, project support, stakeholder coordination or community-facing roles rather than a traditional communications career path About the role In this position you will play an important role in supporting rural customers and stakeholders through the Rural Water Efficiency Project. You'll help translate project information into clear, practical updates, coordinate engagement activities, respond to customer needs and support the project team to build trust with the people most affected by the works” This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. You'll work closely with project teams, speak directly with customers and stakeholders, prepare clear updates and materials, support community information sessions, and help ensure people receive the right information at the right time Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain positive relationships with rural customers, landholders and stakeholders impacted by the Rural Water Efficiency Project. • Provide timely and accurate information about project activities, timelines and impacts, helping customers understand what the project means for them. • Respond to customer enquiries, concerns and feedback, ensuring issues are resolved or referred appropriately. • Support the planning and delivery of stakeholder engagement activities, community information sessions and customer meetings. • Record and maintain accurate customer, stakeholder and engagement information within project databases and business systems. • Gather and communicate customer and stakeholder insights, emerging issues and project impacts to support informed project decisions. • Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure customers remain informed, supported and engaged throughout project delivery. About you: You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships and making complex information easy to understand. You'll also bring: • Experience in customer service, community engagement, stakeholder engagement, project support or a related field. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Well-developed organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities. • A proactive, adaptable approach with a willingness to support a variety of project activities. • Qualifications in Communications, Community Engagement or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. • Experience with community consultation, stakeholder engagement or the IAP2 framework will be highly regarded. Learn more in the position description Salary: The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 3 $74,200 - $90,097 plus super salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
